Food for thought

The word food starts ringing bells in our minds of the dishes we love , only when our stomach is not upset . We tend to eat more when our favourite dishes are right in front of us . No No Don't get me wrong people i am not against the concept of over eating ,i myself do it ,but have we ever wondered when we have food somewhere like parties, a college canteen , a roadside Dhaba. we are designated a quantity which might be too much for any individual ,and many a times it is, at this point of time we leave the food in the plate, pay the bill and come out very satisfied .
I would like to share my own experience when i came to Punjab  i ordered a dish and with the order i added an additional half plate and he stared at me like i was a beggar asking for food and replied half nhn milta yahan aage badho.

I am also impressed by our culture where the mother in law forces the son in law to have a sweet dish and the son in law doesn't refuse. We force people to have food and the moment they are out of sight the plate alongwith the  dish is slipped into waste basket.

the main idea of reminding the culture , the eating habits is that in our daily life we waste a lot of food . I feel that if this food is processed and distributed to people who die of hunger , people who really need that food . and for the people who are very business minded i think they can utilize this waste food as a business opportunity.

Please tell me what can be done in this field
