SALES A TABoooo??

A sale is the pinnacle activity involved in selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity.
I googled the term SALES and found this meaning, i felt nice but when i had a stint with the real world i could only figure out that sales is equally proportional to loss of your image ,U being insulted by lines like these "accha sales mein mili hai job"; time nhn hai hamare paas(this one is by the shopkeepers) ;or sometimes some great things happen yourcard is accepted at the reception and you are told that you will be given a call ,sounds great but the concerned people don't call.
without naming anybody some of my friends considered selling as a taboo for them because they had very good knowledge of finance for which i respect them a lot but when they got the offer from a company  that SALES was no longer a taboo for them.I saw a Movie Rocket Singh i liked it but a question lingered on my mind was it on sales or entrepreneurship . People liked the movie but the behavior with salesman remains the same.
I am at threshold of my career waiting for my offer letter but the my question to everybody is IS SALES A TABOO??? I am not against sales rather i believe its connecting with people but what if people refuse to connect, just on the pretext a salesman approached them. The individual gives time explaining the benefits of the product yet he is considered as a cheater ,and the companies who advertise all sorts of nonsense are considered good. Does anyone have an answer to it???
Waiting for your replies

Yours Faithfully

Food for thought

The word food starts ringing bells in our minds of the dishes we love , only when our stomach is not upset . We tend to eat more when our favourite dishes are right in front of us . No No Don't get me wrong people i am not against the concept of over eating ,i myself do it ,but have we ever wondered when we have food somewhere like parties, a college canteen , a roadside Dhaba. we are designated a quantity which might be too much for any individual ,and many a times it is, at this point of time we leave the food in the plate, pay the bill and come out very satisfied .
I would like to share my own experience when i came to Punjab  i ordered a dish and with the order i added an additional half plate and he stared at me like i was a beggar asking for food and replied half nhn milta yahan aage badho.

I am also impressed by our culture where the mother in law forces the son in law to have a sweet dish and the son in law doesn't refuse. We force people to have food and the moment they are out of sight the plate alongwith the  dish is slipped into waste basket.

the main idea of reminding the culture , the eating habits is that in our daily life we waste a lot of food . I feel that if this food is processed and distributed to people who die of hunger , people who really need that food . and for the people who are very business minded i think they can utilize this waste food as a business opportunity.

Please tell me what can be done in this field

Media Power

First of all i am sorry for not writing for so long. I deeply apologize for that.In this post i want to talk about the media ,which in today's scenario is immensely powerful that an elephant giving birth is telecasted on television as breaking news .We have 24 hrs non stop news channels. This powerful media is wasted , this can be said because the criminals are captured by media committing the crime, but the criminals are roaming freely even when their acts are broadcasted on the so called 24 hrs news channels which show every sort of nonsense on the pretext of a 24 hr channel.I have nothing against the news channel but i am disappointed on the matter fact that media power is going waste say for example CNG prices are raised the opposition party sits on Dharna sets national property on fire ,it is captured by media and still nothing is done, This is one just example there are thousand more.if the evidence is there why the action is not taken.????????

After a mind boggling exercise i come up with a very obvious answer "THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT" .

What do you think people???????????????

Social Issues

Well this is my first experience of writing a blog. Well a thing that is bothering me for days , i thought to write about it. The issue is about the social issues women rather young girls are facing these days, the issue of being pressurized by their parents to get married as soon as they complete their education. I being an MBA student have seen it in my college what to talk about small colleges at small places. The people from metros are also following this culture. I don't know why do their parents don't allow them to grow in their career , and to add to their troubles are grandparents with slangs like Kudi 24 saal ki ho gayi hai iski shaadi kr do, abhi kar lo nhn to problem ho jaegi. They begin the process of arrange marriages where a girl is showed to a guy as if she is a commodity. The parents argue that they will get to know each other after marriage , i ask them in this fast faced life do they actually get time to know each other . I am not trying to advertise the concept of love story but just trying to bring out the fact that don' t they have the right to choose her life life partner. Well according to me the trouble of a girl doesn't end after marriage also ,she is pressurized for a child. I ask a question to the parents why do they spend lakhs of rupees on her education ??, if marriage is the sole aim then give that money to Bride & Groom to enjoy their lives. It is not that i am against the concept of arrange marriages but i have seen young girls suffering because of the marriage at the time where their carrer is important. I want to quote various incidents like two of my friends were given an ultimatum by their parents that if you are not able to clear the MBA entrances we will get you married . If the educated parents in india have this mindset what to say about the uneducated lot. I am really worried about this issue which is prevelant in our society.
